Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. We ask for gender, date of birth, your health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you need and the term length. Those six pieces of information are all that is required to return rates from carriers. Personal details like your name, address and health history are collected only if you proceed to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices displayed represent what each carrier quotes for your selected health classification. Your actual premium will be determined by the carrier's underwriting process, which may confirm, improve or adjust your rate class. Nothing on this site constitutes an insurance offer or a rate guarantee.

What happens when I click Apply?

Clicking Apply lets you enter your name and moves your information into a secure application interface. The application continues on the carriers' own platform, is prefilled with your earlier responses, and can be paused and resumed. You'll sign electronically when ready. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), handles all applications.

Will I need a medical exam?

The answer depends on your carrier selection, coverage amount and health profile. Some carriers with Immediate coverage eligibility can make decisions without an exam for qualifying applicants. Each quote shown on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not necessary for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

Select a term that covers the period when your income matters most to your family: perhaps while you have a mortgage, dependents at home, or business debt. Longer coverage periods mean higher monthly cost but lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options from every carrier.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote form collects no contact information. We do not sell or share visitor data, and our website traffic counting is cookieless. Visit the privacy page for complete details on what is and is not collected, and by whom.
